Moving from the city to a new home in the country can be tough. Just ask Henry, who can’t find a playmate! Luckily, he's got Mudge - a big, slobbery, 180-pound, canine buddy, with whom he can explore the neighborhood and share a year full of adventures!
From Henry's futile efforts to train Mudge, to getting ready for Cousin Annie's visit, to entering a snowman- building contest, the two best friends are inseparable! In the imaginary world of their playtime, they become super-spies or pretend to be prisoners of war on a rescue mission. And sometimes they just enjoy a warm summer day together. As in many friendships, Henry sometimes takes Mudge for granted. So when Mudge accidentally wanders away from the cozy house one day, Henry realizes how much his dog means to him. Henry must brave the cold dark forest to find his best friend and bring him home. But will Henry find Mudge in time? Find out in this brand-new Theatreworks musical, based on the best-selling series of books by Cynthia Rylant.
